Recycled one more time, and then we will put it to rest… and me too. Said goodbye to the last of our houseguests this morning. Great to have them… and now to answer the call of deadlines as I notice my next @verandamag article has not written itself. Hmph.

Spied this handsome young fellow strolling through the vineyard yesterday morning. With beautiful dark markings, he must have been young because he was so nonchalant. Bobcats are normally very shy. This one sat for a while snacking on grapes spilled from the recent harvest, waited for me to get my camera, then casually sauntered off occasionally looking back as if to make sure I got his good side. .

But hey, who at any age couldnt benefit from such words of wisdom? I’ve been a fan of Shannon’s our blogs intersected some years ago. Love using the embroidered tablecloths from our wedding(!) and they are a handy complement to the flowers in our so-called garden. The fabric btw was found by @mindyricedesign whose eye is as skilled and refined as it is unerring. .

Foraged bouquet for the weekend—the zinnias that will not die, the roses still hanging in there, salvia and manzanita foliage. Putting to practice what I learned in workshop earlier this fall with @cultivatedbychristin @simplybyarrangement and @hedgerow and @rosestoryfarm .
