Are you on your path? In alignment with where you are and where you want to go? As the New Year wears in, our resolve may wear thin, our clarity may dim. Or maybe we are making it too hard.
Many who walk the Camino de Santiago find it is a way to their path, and I invite you to join me. The ancient Way of St. James is a sacred pilgrimage dating back to the 9th century. Today, the Camino welcomes people of all faiths, or none.
The Way is about embracing your own way—about renewing your sense of meaning and purpose, whether charting transition, healing from loss, or discerning your life’s next chapter. We will walk along Spain’s stunning landscapes, stay in lovely places, savor good food and wine, and connect with like-minded travelers. We will discover afresh what frees our spirits and fills our souls. The Camino gives you what you need.
The Way comprises several routes, and this year, we embark on the Camino Invierno or Winter Way, through the breathtaking and virtually undiscovered Ribeira Sacra or Sacred River region of Galicia. Known for its dramatic mountains, vineyards, medieval monasteries, and Romanesque architecture, this hidden gem is also aptly called the “Secret Camino.”
Our journey begins and ends at the elegant Relais & Chateau Quinta da Auga, with four nights in between at the historic Parador de Santo Estevo, a former Benedictine monastery with modern comforts, a spa, and stunning views of the Sil River Canyon. With short shuttles, we’ll walk some of the most beautiful stages of the Camino. On our final day, we will walk into Santiago, jubilant and transformed. I hope you will join me.
Also new this year is an element of creative journaling. Optional of course, but it’s fun. And effective. With stacks of research around the zillion ways it does all kinds of good for you. And did I mention it’s fun. You do NOT have to be a writer or an artist, and all the supplies will be provided for you:)
Dates are May 19-25. Here is a brochure (click here) with more information, and you are welcome to email me with questions or just to chat at connect@francesschultz.com
