Cotswolds Diary, Day (-4)

For reasons not entirely clear to me, I have rented a charming studio flat in Middle Duntisborne, Gloucestershire, England, for a month, a month.

Middle Duntisbourne is smaller than Tarboro.*  It is near Cirencester, however, which is bigger and has lots going on and shops and a street market and an amazing church.

I’m not there yet. But I did wake with a start realizing I leave exactly four days from today. Lord.

Apart from Jane Austen and the BBC, it was my darlin’ and dear old friend Jonathan who introduced  me to the Cotswolds years ago, and I’ve been captivated ever since. In the days to come, I hope you’ll see why.

Isn’t it interesting  what draws us to a place? Or not. I just met a fascinating man who walked across Antarctica. I mean  the entire thing. Magnificently courageous and seriously cold, but it does not call me. Me I’ll be walking across village and gardens. And wolds, of course. Soon!

I hope you will join me and my diary and come along.

But girl I have not yet packed a toothbrush. God save the suitcase!
